Our Very First South Florida Blogger Summer Meet-Up

This Saturday, Elizabeth from First Grade Stripes, Janine from Pink Ink and Polka Dots, and I hosted the very 1st South Florida Blogger Meet-Up! What started off as a mere thought online of, "Wouldn't it be nice to get together with some local teacher bloggers to collaborate?" became a reality where I honestly met the most genuine, down to Earth, creative and intelligent women. Most of us only knew each other through social media outlets such as Teachers Pay Teachers, Facebook, and Instagram, so it was such a treasure to get to meet some of our blogger friends in person!

We met up at a local restaurant where we shared stories about our families, place of employment, our journey as Teachers Pay Teachers authors, and so much more. Some of the wonderful teachers who attended the event are pictured above.

One of the teachers I was able to learn much about was Bridget (second from the left) from Little Lovely Leaders who is also a fifth grade teacher and Teachers Pay Teachers author.  She actually took quite a road trip to come down and meet up with us, and I am so glad she did.  She was just the sweetest! We both share a passion for teaching fifth grade and LOVE organization.  She was generous enough to give us all a planner, and not only are her planners practical, but absolutely beautiful.

Of course, I also got to know one of my co-hosts better, and was so excited to meet her in person. Elizabeth (first from the right) from First Grade Stripes is one of the sweetest humans you can ever meet. Her enthusiasm for what she does is so apparent.  Elizabeth was an essential player in acquiring goodies for our meet up.

Janine, from Pink Ink and Polka Dots, was another co-host of our event (pictured above on the left).  She was also extremely resourceful and contacted many of the vendors and was able to get most of the goodies we received that day.  I loved speaking to her in person and learning all about her work experiences.

Jennifer (second from the right) from Buzzin Bees of Learning is the type of lady I would want to be MY teacher. She is always smiling and has one of those calming tones when she speaks. I am her newest follower online for sure! It was a total pleasure meeting her, as well as, some other wonderful local teachers.

We were so grateful to the generosity of so many companies. Because of them, we were able to give out a bag full of wonderful goodies to each of the ladies who attended, and EVERY ONE of us was able to walk away with a winning gift certificate to various TPT stores.

Speaking of goodies, make sure to visit my blog next Sunday where I will be highlighting the donations we received, and we will be having a GIVEAWAY where THREE lucky winners will be able to receive a goodie bag like those we received at the meet up. You won't want to miss it!

(Here I am with my goodies. I had to leave our luncheon early to watch my son play in his championship game.)
