Facebook Followers: Never Miss Another Post Again

Recently I have received a few messages from my followers saying they have missed Flash FREEBIES, or had not received my post on their newsfeed. Facebook has made quite a few changes throughout the year, and understandably so. After all, they are a business. One of the ways they make money is by having "Pages" such as mine, pay to promote their posts. Now, I am not sure what the formula for this is, meaning who do they send it to, how do they chose who will see it, etc. but it is what they do. This means that you most likely do not receive every post, from every page, at the time the author posts it.

If you never want to miss another post from one of the pages you currently 'like', there are a few simple steps you can take to receive notifications when a message is posted onto their page. It's just like when you receive a notification on your computer or phone that a friend has posted onto your wall. You can receive a notification that one of favorite pages has done the same.

Here it is:

STEP ONE: 'Like' the page (You probably already did this step).

STEP TWO: Click on the little down arrow on the 'liked' box.

STEP THREE: Click on 'Get Notifications.' An arrow will appear next to it, and Viola, you are now receiving notifications.

Now I forewarn you, if you follow a great deal of pages, you will not want to do this with EVERY single page you follow, or your phone/computer may be giving notifications every minute. However, this is a great option if you do want to miss posts from certain pages.

Another 'heads up.' You can only use this option through your personal Facebook page. This means if I follow certain pages under my personal page, I can get notifications, but if I follow them through my Your Thrifty Co-Teacher page, this option will not be available.

I hope this information is helpful, and that you are now in the loop to get all those wonderful Flash FREEBIES and offers from your favorite pages.

Your Thrifty Co-Teacher,

~Cristy

  2. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leading me to yours! I'm your newest follower! P.S. I don't know if you are aware or not but you are a no-reply blogger. This means when you comment on someone's blog they aren't able to reply back by email. If you change this it allows you to reply back and forth with other bloggers through email! If you google it there are tons of tutorials out there on how to change this. Let me know if you have any questions though :)
